NCI Global Health Interest Group Panel on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Global Health

In honor of Nelson Mandela Day, the National Cancer Institute fellow-led Global Health Interest Group (NCI-GHIG) is pleased to host a panel discussion on diversity, equity, and inclusion in global health. With the goal of providing opportunities to engage in meaningful dialogue, we have invited four global health experts from Africa, Asia, and Latin America whose work focuses on achieving global health equity (more information here: https://www.cancer.gov/about-nci/organization/cgh/events/globalhealthequitypanel). We seek to discuss actions that the broader public health community and early career scientists can take to enhance equity and justice in global health research and practice. Join us on July 19th, 2022, 9AM to 10:30AM EDT for a facilitated discussion and Q&A.

Following the main panel discussion, those of you who indicate that you are fellows/trainees on the registration form below are invited to join us for a 30-minute closed session (July 19th, 2022, 10.30am -11am EDT) with our invited speakers. This will be an opportunity for fellows to talk with the panelists about their career pathways and current opportunities and priorities in global health.
